The AllroundDual M15D Thermographic Network Camera from MOBOTIX is based on the modular MOBOTIX platform. The modular camera consists of a housing, front element, and a thermal sensor. The thermal sensor comes with a pre-installed L135 lens that has a 17° horizontal field of view. The housing includes integrated camera electronics, flash memory, external ports (Ethernet, MxBus, and mini USB), and a pre-installed VarioFlex mount for wall or ceiling mounting. The front element accommodates the thermal sensor (right module), a 5MP sensor module (left module, sold separately), microphone, speaker, passive infrared sensor, outside temperature sensor, and status LEDs. The camera comes with connection cables for the sensor and network. The thermal sensor has a temperature measuring range of -40 to 1022°F (-40 to 550°C) and is capable of detection in complete darkness and/or through smoke, smog, or a thin plastic film (limited during thick fog). It is configured using camera software in a Web browser. The left module can be a 5MP day (color) or night (black & white) sensor, telephoto to hemispheric, with or without long-pass filter (LPF) for identification.
Combined with an array of sensors (PIR sensor, microphone, thermal) and the analytics capabilities of the camera software (MxActivitySensor, video motion detection, event logic), the camera can detect moving people and cars, as well as their direction of movement, even in total darkness. The camera is suitable for video security applications in commercial, private, and public sector environments, as a surveillance or weather camera, webcam, indoors or outdoors, day or night. This camera operates with built-in firmware allowing remote access from Windows and Mac computers via a web browser, or using the free MOBOTIX app for iOS.
